The last event in the EMEA region ahead of the long-awaited summer took place at the BT Tower on 6th July. The topic for the evening “Role of Automation in Fixed Income Execution” was not one that people would traditionally associate with FIX. In fact, the panel agreed to change the topic slightly to “Role of Automation in Non-Equities Execution” to broaden the scope. With the continued electronification of all asset classes across the globe, it was a welcome topic and gave the chance for a different audience to listen to subject matter experts.
