Tom Schouwenaars, Managing Director, Goldman Sachs
Tom manages the Equity Algo Strats team in the Americas, researching and developing electronic execution strategies for the firm’s Equities and Electronic Trading franchise since 2009. Previously, he worked in Global Securities Services on portfolio risk and flow analysis. Tom joined Goldman Sachs in 2006 as an associate in Equity Derivatives Research strats and was named managing director in 2015. Tom earned a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Leuven in 2001 and a PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT in 2006. He also obtained a certificate in Financial Technology from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
