Sander is Head of Regulatory Strategy for Europe & Asia at BGC Brokers; a leading global brokerage company operating both voice and electronic execution platforms in Europe’s wholesale financial markets. Before joining BGC in 2018, Sander did Government Affairs at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co; specializing in capital markets and prudential legislation. Prior to this, he ran AFME’s sovereign debt division, representing the interests of Europe’s largest government bond trading banks throughout the sovereign debt crisis. He started his career in 2006 at the Dutch sovereign issuer (‘Dutch State Treasury Agency’) as a dealer and policy advisor.
