Raoul Salomon, Managing Director, Barclays, France CEO, the Co-Head of Markets, Barclays Europe
Mr. Salomon was appointed as Managing Director in January 2006, after joining Barclays Capital in February 1996 from Caisse des Depots et Consignation where he was economist in charge of the French economy and trader on STRIPS. Prior to Caisse des Depots et Consignation, Mr. Salomon worked in research in econometrics at the World Bank in Washington DC.
At Barclays Capital, Mr. Salomon has been a trader on the French government bonds curve from 1996 to 2000. Then, he has been a member of the French sales team and of the management team.
Mr. Salomon holds a Diploma from Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique and also a Master in Games Theory. He was a lecturer in maths, statistics, econometrics, micro – macro economics and financial markets at University of Paris 1, HEC, ENSAE and Sciences Po. He is the Chairman of Alliance pour une Gestion Solidaire, Cris Cancer France and Dessines Moi Un Mouton, he is at the board Papoto. He is involved in several affirmative actions for equal education opportunities.
