Jasper Jorritsma – Senior Policy Advisor, Capital Markets, Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM)
Mr. Jorritsma is Senior Policy Advisor at the AFM, where he serves as policy lead on market structure, market integrity, and commodities issues, and is also involved in strategy development. Mr. Jorritsma was seconded as a policy officer in the Securities Markets Unit at the Directorate General Internal Market and Services to the European Commission to draft and negotiate MiFID II and other pieces of legislation.
Prior to the AFM, he worked as an economic analyst for the American Embassy in The Hague. Mr. Jorritsma began his career working as an editor for ESB, the Dutch economics and statistics review. Mr. Jorritsma studied economics and philosophy at the University of Amsterdam and the University of California, Berkeley.
