FIX Trading Community Announces Verena Ross, Executive Director of ESMA, as Keynote Speaker for London EMEA Trading Conference
With agenda topics on Brexit, Equity, Fixed Income, Data, Executing in the new market eco structure and more
London, New York, Hong Kong, 18February 2019:FIX Trading Community, the non-profit, industry-driven standards body at the heart of global financial trading, today announced Verena Ross, Executive Director of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) as the Keynote Speaker for the EMEA Trading Conference on 14thMarch 2019. Verena is knownfor her proven track record in helping shape regulatory policy in the European financial markets.
Regarded as the biggest one-day trading event in the region, with over a thousand delegates attending, the EMEA Trading Conference brings together key personnel in the industry, like Verena Ross, to discuss important issues that are impacting market participants. This year’sconference for the first time is also being held in association with a number of Trade Associations, including The Association for Financial Markets in Europe, AFME, International Capital Market Association, ICMA, the European Debt Market Association, EDMA, and the German Investment Funds Association, BVI. This new partnering initiative will also ensure the best content on the day for all the attending industry participants and only serves to strengthen the debate.
The popular structure will remain, with morning plenary sessions followed by breakout streams on equities, fixed income and technology. A main plenary on, ‘Brexit – What Next for the Industry’ will take place, as well assessionson the Equity Liquidity Landscape, Unbundling, New Market Eco Structure, Trading with Transparency andFinding Alpha in Fixed Income. The aim of the event is to encourage debate, share ideas and provide educational insight into the top initiatives underway within the FIX organisation, as well as explore key challenges and opportunities within the trading community.
