George Kledaras

George Kledaras, Principal Owner, Limni Trading

George Kledaras is a serial FinTech entrepreneur in trading systems and networks. George started his career in financial technology in 1989 working as a software engineer building trading systems.

He is well known throughout the technology world as the founder, in 1996, of Javelin Technologies Inc. At Javelin, he was recognized as the leader in electronic trading software, especially through his initiative in creating the first high-speed messaging FIX engine built entirely in Java called Coppelia. Javelin was the winner of the Deloitte & Touche Shooting Star award for New York’s fastest-growing technology company. He is also widely credited for introducing Java to Wall Street for serious trading applications.

In 2004, Kledaras co-founded FIX Flyer to help firms manage the speeds involved in algorithmic trading, including emerging markets and wealth management. He remains a director. And from 2015 to 2021, he ran Atreyu Group, a broker dealer providing innovative Direct Market Access (DMA) and risk technology for highly automated trading the US equity and options markets to over hundreds of traders. In 2021, George started Limni Trading, registered with Velocity Clearing, to help data driven and highly automated traders access the markets through APIs.

George earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University and graduate studies in Mathematics (M.S.) from the Courant Institute at New York University. He also has leadership positions in several startups and a major educational institution.
