Natan Tiefenbrun

Natan Tiefenbrun runs Electronic Trading sales and co-heads Agency Equities Trading for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Europe, Middle East and Africa.  In this role Natan is responsible for the firm’s electronic trading offering in European markets, and for managing and developing the firm’s broader suite of agency execution capabilities.

His team was recently recognized in the Financial News 2015 Awards for Excellence as the Electronic Execution Department of the Year (Sellside) and as the Best Firm for Market Structure and Execution Consulting.

Natan joined the firm in 2013 and is based in London.  Prior to joining BofA Merrill, Natan spent four years with the London Stock Exchange Group, most recently as the chief executive officer of Turquoise, a pan-European equities and equity derivative trading platform.  Prior to this position, he spent two years working with a VC-funded start-up.

Natan began his financial markets career in 1993 at Instinet, an early pioneer in electronic equities trading, where he spent thirteen years developing and running the firm’s portfolio trading, algorithmic trading and sponsored access businesses.

Natan holds a degree in Computing Science from the University of Edinburgh.
