Michael Blum

Michael is Chief Technology Officer for Electronic Trading, Goldman Sachs. He is responsible for defining uniform electronic trading architecture standards for Securities Systematic Solutions (S^3) and managing all related development teams, with the goal of developing an optimized large-scale electronic trading platform. Michael joined Goldman Sachs in 2017 as a partner. Prior to joining the firm, Michael most recently worked at global trading firm KCG Holdings, where he was chief technology officer and responsible for the design and build of its new trading and research platform, as well as managing the full technology stack for the high frequency market making, execution services and wholesaling businesses. Previously, Michael served as chief technology officer for Teza Technologies. Prior to that, he held several software engineer and leadership roles for a number of trading and financial services firms, including Getco, UBS Investment
