Lael Wakefield is President of the Americas for Itiviti and is responsible for all aspects of the business as well as the 120 employees within the region. Their new Connect and Trade solutions portfolios make up one of the most comprehensive offerings in capital markets technologies and services – providing the functionality to match any trading style across asset classes.
After a brief stint in the Aviation Industry in Washington state and Washington DC, Lael moved to New York in 2000 where she decided to focus her career in financial services technology. Her first job in FinTech was at Fidessa. In her 16 years at Fidessa she held various roles in the Sales Management team, both Regional and Global in nature.
In 2016, Lael left Fidessa and joined Ullink as Managing Director for the Americas and was an integral part of the process, as part of the Executive Leadership Team, for the eventual acquisition by Itiviti.
Since the acquisition nearly one year ago, Lael has been promoted to President of the Americas where she has successfully integrated the Product Management, Customer Operations, Professional Services and Sales functions to service the full product and services suite.
Through with the merger, sales stayed strong, costs decreased and revenue increased, proving that Lael was able to keep her team focused on the business and growth.
As part of the first employee surveys since the acquisition, the NPS scores for employees in the Americas are all positive pointing towards a successful integration effort. Additionally, customers have continued to provide positive feedback, and sales is on track to grow again in 2019.
