Tanith Johnson, European Head of Operations, Instinet

In this role, Tanith has been instrumental in the seamless implementation, management and evolution of Operations throughout her career; including time spent at both Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse. Latterly material challenges have included a broad spectrum of complex regulatory and business requirements across Europe. In addition, she has been a key architect in the delivery of new business solutions such as client clearing and settlement services. Having joined Instinet in 2009, Tanith became Head of European Operations in 2010, and was promoted to Managing Director in 2016.

Lara Shevchenko, Senior Policy Advisor – Market Structure, FIA EPTA

As Senior Policy Advisor on Market Structure for the European Principal Traders Association (FIA EPTA), Lara Shevchenko leads advocacy on market structure topics for Europe’s primary industry body for independent market making firms.

Working closely with FIA EPTA’s members and other market participants, she represents FIA EPTA towards public stakeholders in the EU and UK. She is an experienced regulatory lawyer and market structure expert who has been working on various aspects of European markets and infrastructure regulation for over 15 years.

Prior to joining FIA EPTA in 2022, Lara worked for a US investment bank and prior to that at a Magic Circle law firm.

Giulia Pecce, Director, Head of Secondary Capital Markets and Wholesale Investor Protection Policy, AFME

Giulia joined AFME in June 2022 and is Head of Secondary Capital Markets and Wholesale Investor Protection. She runs AFME’s MiFID Steering Committee, the Investment Research Policy Group, the Retail Investment Strategy Working Group, and other ad hoc MiFID policy groups, including transaction reporting and order execution.

Before joining AFME, Giulia worked at the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for 8 years where she held various policy roles, leading on, and/or contributing to, retail and wholesale policy files.

Prior to joining the FCA, Giulia worked for an international law firm (M&A and Capital Markets) and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Legislative Office).

Giulia has a law degree from Luiss Guido Carli (Rome) during which she completed a semester abroad at the University of Glasgow, School of Law, within the Erasmus Programme. She holds an LLM in Banking Law and Financial Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Martina Rejsjö, Director Regulatory Affairs, Eventus

Martina brings 20+ years of experience within the financial markets with focus on market structure, rules and regulation both from an European and US perspective. Special interest in the future of the capital markets and the impact of artificial intelligence application in the financial sector. At Eventus she will be working internally and externally to interpret client needs and advocate for best practices and efficiencies within the surveillance environment.

Prior to joining Eventus, Martina was head of MarketWatch at Nasdaq, the surveillance team for Nasdaq’s US equity markets. She led the surveillance team with focus on protecting investors in ensuring fair and transparent markets by building and maintaining surveillance programs to monitor markets for market manipulation,  insider trading and ensuring that rules and regulations were followed. She also participated in Nasdaq’s effort to implement AI into the surveillance program.

Before coming to the US, Martina worked as Head of European Trading Surveillance in Stockholm. She joined Nasdaq in 2008, and had before worked as a Portfolio Manager for Institutional Clients at DNB Asset management. Martina holds a Master in Finance from Stockholm University.

Kosakewitsch joined Nasdaq in May 2017 and brings years of extensive knowledge, experience, and insight from sell side working with buy side institutions in the Nordics, Europe and the UK. He holds a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD.
