Simon Gallagher – Head of Equities and Structured Products – Euronext

Simon Gallagher is Head of Equities and Structured Products at Euronext, with overall P&L responsibility for the franchise, including the product offer, market model, client strategy and liquidity programmes. Current priorities include revamping Euronext’s retail and institutional offers, with a particular focus on enhancing liquidity experience of institutional traders.

Prior to this role, Simon held several positions within Euronext in Corporate Finance and Strategy, and occupied various roles in the oil and gas sector. He is a CFA charterholder.

Head of Liquidnet Fixed Income EMEA

Jonathan Heads up Fixed Income EMEA having joined Liquidnet in 2014 from Morgan Stanley, where he was a Managing Director, responsible for convertible bond sales, trading risk and research. Prior to that he was a Director and one of three founding partners of ECN start-up, MarketTouch Ltd, funded by GNI and Old Mutual PLC. He began his career in financial markets when he joined Credit Suisse First Boston Limited as a trader on the firm’s convertible bond desk.

Mostafa Chriraa is a Product Manager, responsible for the product strategy and roadmap definition of ULLINK’s High Touch solutions, connecting the company’s product vision and technology with customer requirements. He joined ULLINK in 2013 after 8 years at leading French buy-side firms – Amundi and Natixis – where he developed strong expertise in software development and electronic trading business analysis.

Over the past 10 years, he has developed a strong knowledge and solid experience in delivering trading solutions to top tier buy side and sell side. He holds a Master Degree in Business Intelligence from Paris Dauphine, France.

Geoffroy Vander Linden, Head of Transparency Solutions, Trax

Geoffroy Vander Linden joined Trax in 2012 and is the Head of Transparency Solutions. He is responsible for the future development of Trax’s cross asset-class transparency and trade reporting solutions for MiFID II. Geoffroy currently sits on the Consultative Working Group of the ESMA Secondary Market Working Group, which focuses on providing advice and recommendations to the European Commission on technical standards and guidelines.

Mr. Vander Linden previously sat on the Consultative Working Group of the ESMA Market Data Reporting Working Group. Prior to joining Trax, Mr. Vander Linden spent over 10 years with Euroclear where he held a number of roles including Product Manager for liquidity management and clearing services. Within this role, Mr. Vander Linden was tasked with managing relationships between UK and Irish based clearing houses and trading venues whilst also implementing clearing and settlement practices according to MiFID mandates.

Robin Strong is Managing Director for Cowen’s Westminster RPA, an industry leading investment research and commission management provider.

In his current role, Mr. Strong is responsible for delivering Westminster’s unbundling and MiFID II compliant solutions to its growing client base. He is also responsible for expanding Westminster’s broad range of commission management, research payment and outsourcing services to buy and sell-side investment firms across the U.S. and Europe. Mr. Strong also plays a key role in preparing the firm’s clients for reforms outlined in MiFID II, one of which requires firms to manage payments for research through Research Payment Accounts (RPAs) or to pay for the research directly.

Prior to joining Cowen, Mr. Strong founded The Investment Data Utility, an innovative data quality benchmarking service geared towards investment managers, and currently serves as a Non-Executive Director.  A 25-year financial industry veteran, Mr. Strong previously worked at Linedata, where he was responsible for business development and client adoption strategies across the EMEA region.  Mr. Strong started his career at Salomon Brothers in London working as an analyst and a programmer.  His professional background also includes working as the Director of Market Strategy at Fidessa; Principal Architect at Charles River Development; Head of Sales and Marketing, EMEA at Citadel Associates and Buy-Side Sales Manager at Asset Control.

Robin has been an active member of the FIX Trading Community for many years. He served on the Global Steering Committee and as Chair of the Member Services Committee from 2012 – 2016 where he was instrumental in increasing buy-side participation within the organization.

Mr. Strong holds a Masters of Engineering (MEng) from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, with a concentration in manufacturing sciences and engineering.

Irina Sonich-Bright, Co-Chair EMEA Business Practices Working Group, FIX Trading Community, Managing Director, Equities Execution Services, Head of Product Management, Credit Suisse

Irina looks after product and market structure driven changes in Equities Execution Services area of the Credit Suisse’s Investment Banking division. Irina has been with Credit Suisse since 1999, working in a various electronic trading technology roles before joining Execution Services business. Irina is an active member of industry groups and forums that discuss changes and initiatives affecting securities trading community. She co-chairs FIX Protocol Business Practices, and a member of MMT SC and Equities Consolidated Tape working groups in Europe. Irina’s education background is in electronic engineering and computer science.

Sebastien Schimpf, Business Development – Global Trading, FIS

Dr Torsen Schaper, Executive Director – Head of Regulatory Analysis, Deutsche Börse

Torsten joined Deutsche Börse Group in 2010 and manages regulatory initiatives with relevance for the group such as Brexit, MiFID, EMIR and ESA Review and coordinates them with the regulatory strategy of the group.

Before joining Deutsche Börse Group, Torsten worked as project manager for various financial institutions. He finalised his dissertation at the Goethe-University in Frankfurt on the topic ‘Managing Post-Trading Infrastructures – Regulatory and IT Challenges -‘. Torsten is author of various academic papers, books and book chapters and lecturer of the master course ‘Current Topics in Securities Trading and Post-Trade Services‘.

Nathalie Masset, Deputy Director of Fixed Income, Euronext.

Nathalie Masset is Head of Fixed Income at Euronext, and since 2011 has been in charge of developing regulated markets as well as initiatives in the Fixed Income space.

Nathalie has over 20 years of experience in European market infrastructures; she started her career at Matif SA, the French futures exchange and since then, held several positions of increasing responsibility at Euronext Group in an international environment. Prior to joining the stock exchange, Nathalie worked as a business and IT consultant at organizations such as Capgemini and Axime/Logica where she managed various projects and audits in the financial markets space.

Nathalie holds a Master’s degree from Paris-X University; she is a member of the ICMA Regional Committee for France & Monaco and Vice-Chairman of the FESE Fixed Income Committee.
