Luiz Nicolas, Sales, Relationship Manager and Market Specialist, BNP Paribas Securities Services

Originally from Brazil, Luiz is an Economist with an Executive MBA from HEC Paris and a specialist in post-trade services with focus on Financial Intermediaries, notably Banks and Brokers with over 20 years of international experience.

He joined Securities Services as a Relationship Manager in 2017, after a successful nearshoring process of the operations from Paris to the International Operation Centers in Lisbon.

Prior to joining Securities Services, Luiz has held several positions in BNP’s different areas of the industry in Paris, Lisbon and NY since 2009.

Before moving to the Brazilian Trading Desk of Fortis Bank in NY, he was a financial advisor for Private Bank clients in Brazil.

Benoit Bellone, Head of Research, Senior Research Data Scientist, QuantCube

Prior to his current role, Benoit worked as Senior Quantitative Analyst in the Research lab of the Quantitative Research Group at BNP Paribas Asset Management, enhancing portfolio construction methodologies on Global Equity Multi Factor Investing, Value and Low Risk systematic strategies. Previously, he worked 7 years as Head of Equities and Multi-Asset Research for HSBC Global Asset Management in Paris, where he designed and developed Cross-Asset Style Factors and Absolute Return funds and solutions. He was previously Global Macro Portfolio Manager and Quantitative researcher for 4 years. Prior to joining HSBC, Benoit worked as an Economist at the OECD and in the French Minister of Finance.

Benoit has 22 years of market experience. He graduated from the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) Paris-Saclay and the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique (ENSAE), and also holds a Master degree in Mathematics from the University Paris IX-Dauphine. He is based in Paris.

Laurent Clavel, Global Head of Multi-Asset, AXA IM

Laurent has been leading AXA IM’s Multi-Asset & Quant Solution since 2022, a team managing ca. 30bn€ of assets. Laurent joined AXA IM in 2015 as International Economist and then became Head of Macroeconomic Research in 2016, then Head of Research early 2019. In October 2019, Laurent was appointed AXA IM’s Head of Quant Lab, a team set up to foster innovation, focusing on quantitative research, portfolio engineering, product engineering and data science.  Prior to AXA IM, Laurent worked for two years at the French Statistical Institute (INSEE) as the Head of the Forecasting Unit. Before this, Laurent spent three years at the French Embassy in Stockholm, where he covered the Nordic economies as financial adviser to the French Treasury. Laurent also worked for the French Ministry for the Budget. Laurent graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and holds an MSc. in Economics from the Paris School of Economics, Statistics and Finance.

Stéphane Giordano, Chairman, AMAFI, Deputy Head of Public Affairs, Société Générale

Stéphane Giordano joined SG Public Affairs team in late 2013. He is currently deputy head of the department, responsible for Wholesale and Financial Markets Activities.

Stephane has been elected as chairman of AMAFI’s (the representative body for professionals working in the securities industry and financial markets in France) board in October 2014. He also sits on AMF (Autorité des Marchés Financiers) Markets Consultative Commission, and joined ESMA’s Securities and Markets Stakeholder Group (SMSG) in June 2024.

Prior to that, from 2008 to 2013, Stéphane headed Paris based cash equity execution teams and was the Chairman of SG broker for Continental Europe.

Stéphane joined Société Générale in 1996 as an Inspector within the internal audit and advisory department.

Stéphane Giordano is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique.

Olivier Tailleur, Director, Sales trading, BMO Capital Markets

After 7 years at UBS, he has been hired by BMO to implement and build the trading desk in Paris dedicated to our continental European clients.

Prior to that been on the buy side at Amundi trading north and Latin American markets

Raoul Salomon is a Managing Director at Barclays; he is the France CEO and the Co-Head of Markets for Barclays Europe.

Mr. Salomon was appointed as Managing Director in January 2006 after joining Barclays Capital in February 1996 from Caisse des Depots et Consignation where he was an economist in charge of the French economy and a trader on STRIPS. Prior to Caisse des Depots et Consignation, Mr. Salomon worked in research in econometrics at the World Bank in Washington DC.

At Barclays Capital, Mr. Salomon was a trader on the French government bonds curve from 1996 to 2000, after which he became a member of the France Sales team and the management team.

Mr. Salomon holds a Diploma from Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique and a Masters in Games Theory. He was a lecturer in maths, statistics, econometrics, micro – macro economics and financial markets at the University of Paris 1, HEC, ENSAE and continues to lecture at Sciences Po. He is the Chairman of Alliance pour une Gestion Solidaire, Cris Cancer France and Dessines Moi Un Mouton. He is a member of the board at Papoto and is also involved in several affirmative actions for equal education opportunities.

Audris Siow, Head of Business Development, EMEA, Talos

Dr. Audris Siow is a dynamic business development and strategy leader with 15+ years of experience in sales and revenue generation across the financial services sector

Before joining Talos, Audris was most recently Head of Institutional Broker Sales at Virtu ITG Europe. Prior to that, she focused on growing Investment Technology Group (ITG)’s electronic trading franchise across Europe. Audris started her career with fintech firm Smarts Group (then later part of NASDAQ) as one of the early adopters of the practice of real-time surveillance. She led the business to build out a world-class market surveillance software tool (SMARTS) for regulators, exchanges and financial institutions globally.

Audris holds a Ph.D. in Finance (with a full scholarship from the CMCRC-RoZetta Institute) and is a subject matter expert in the area of market integrity and trade surveillance.

Fabrice Anselmi, Journalist – Markets and Regulation, L’Agefi

Journalist in the financial sector since 2002.

I first followed listed equities, then private equity, before signing up with L’Agefi to pursue investment banks on the morning of the Lehman Brothers’ bankruptcy. I have since covered all types of topics related to investment banks and financing, asset management, and also financial regulation. Since 2019, I’m more oriented on macroeconomic and market issues (monetary and budgetary policies included), I continue to follow market regulation as well.

Her boutique advises fund managers as well as retail clients on Equities, Government Bonds and Currencies. She started her career as a market-maker and prop trader.
