Christian Schmid, Business Development Manager – Equities and Derivatives, EuroCCP

Christian joined the Commercial Team at EuroCCP in December 2020 as a Business Development Manager. He focuses on new and innovative revenue streams, building out their diversification to ETFs and Derivatives, expanding their core membership base and growing market share.

Before joining EuroCCP he started his career at Deutsche Bank (Equities), moving to Bank of America (Transaction Banking) and finally onto Euronext (Cross Asset Sales and Relationship Management).

Christian recently joined the FIX Next Generation Committee. He graduated in 2010 with a BSc in International Business Modern Languages from Aston University.

Rachel Przybylski,Chief Product Officer, SIGMA 

A markets and technology professional with specialist knowledge of regulation and market structure with over 15 years experience gained across buy-side & sell-side firms. A team builder focused on strategy, business development and product delivery of multi asset-class, trading technology and data. Rachel is an active member of Industry bodies and has worked at firms such as Nasdaq, Nomura, Saxo Bank and most recently Man Group.

Merlin Rajah, Head: Electronic Sales Trading, Absa

Merlin Rajah is Absa’s Head of Electronic Sales Trading and has been with the Absa team since May 2020 responsible for all electronic new business and client relationships. Prior to Absa, Merlin spent almost a decade at the JSE as their Business Development Manager for Electronic Trading. At the JSE he headed up the Colocation Sales, global International Liquidity Provider relationships, Shared Infrastructure Provider and Software Vendor businesses. Merlin sits on the FIX Next Gen committee and joins with a wealth of knowledge and experience in terms of exchange trading systems, algorithmic and quantitative trading, market data, colocation and an international network of client relationships.
