Ninou Sarwono, Principal, Emerging Technology and Open Innovation, Capital Group

Ninou Sarwono is responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of initiatives at Capital Group to research and capitalize on emerging technologies including machine learning, Fintech, digitization, automation, natural language processing, and distributed ledger technology. Recently, Ninou founded open innovation as a new capability at Capital Group to accelerate innovations at scale through partnerships with startups, VCs, corporate innovators, accelerators, consortiums, and leading academics.

Before focusing on emerging technology and open innovation, Ninou was the lead solution architect for several transformational initiatives including investment front-office and back-office transformations, investment analytics delivery, multi-channel content management system, and re-architecture of solutions supporting Capital’s unique multiple portfolio managers approach.

Prior to joining Capital Group in 2008, Ninou held various hands-on global software engineering and management consulting leadership roles for companies and clients based in Silicon Valley and Southern California.

Ninou holds an MBA from USC (Member of Beta Gamma Sigma). He, his wife, and his two daughters enjoy living in Orange County, CA.

Denis Ignatovich, Co-Founder, Imandra

Denis Ignatovich has over a decade of experience in trading, risk management, quantitative modeling and complex trading system design. Prior to joining Imandra, he was head of the central risk trading desk at Deutsche Bank London. He holds an MSc in Finance from the London School of Economics and degrees in CS and Finance from UT Austin.

Thomas Toller, Managing Director, Exactpro

Thomas Toller joined Exactpro in 2019 as the Managing Director of the New York office with responsibility for operations and business development in the Americas. As a financial executive with over 15 years of experience in electronic and low latency trading in the US, European, and emerging markets, Thomas has worked for both buy-side and sell-side firms and has served on the Board of Directors and the Global Management Committees of multiple firms, representing them at industry conferences and on the FIA EPTA committee.

Working across multiple disciplines including compliance, risk, operations, and business development has enabled Thomas to build an extensive professional network, and his previous roles required him to hold multiple regulatory registrations including UK FCA: CF1, CF3, CF10, CF11, CF21, and CF26, Central Bank of Ireland PCF1 and PCF12, and in the US – the FINRA Series 7 and Series 24.

Thomas graduated from the University of Manchester with a BSc (Hons) in Science and later completed a Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration from the University of Auckland.
