Bediss Cherif, Chief Product Officer, Kaiko

Bediss has been leading Product at Kaiko since 2020. He started his career in trading technology for Interest rate and FX derivatives as a quant and front office consultant at Murex before moving to market infrastructure at Euronext. At the exchange, he led the overhaul of derivatives markets from 2016-2019. Bediss was entrusted to review the whole life-cycle from order entry to matching engine to market data to clearing, across lit markets and market making models and large-in-scale trading. From 2019 to 2020 Bediss initiated the transformation of non screen based exchange activities towards automation and platform based approach, paving the way to their digitization. Bediss joined Kaiko during its seed stage to accompany its scaling from a web enabled public data aggregator to a global financial markets data and information solutions provider, building from scratch a team now operating 4 business units and globally distributed across NYC, Paris, London and Singapore.

Francesco Lo Conte, CEO and Founder, Esprow

Francesco is the CEO and founder of Esprow, a global leader in automated API testing and onboarding solutions for financial markets. With over 20 years of experience, Francesco has a deep understanding of the industry’s challenges related to connectivity and API management. Prior to establishing Esprow 13 years ago, Francesco was at Fidessa and Goldman Sachs. He is committed to bringing efficiencies and innovation to the industry, as evidenced by Esprow’s recent launch of solutions for the adoption of FIX Trading’s Orchestra standard.

Emil Rakadjiev, Software Architect & Product Manager, Esprow

Emil is a senior software architect and product manager at Esprow, with almost 10 years’ experience in the financial industry. He has contributed significantly to the development of leading solutions for API management and to support adoption of FIX Trading’s Orchestra standard. Emil also has experience in research and academia, having worked at SAP’s headquarters in Walldorf and Hitachi’s research center in Yokohama. He has published and presented papers at IEEE conferences on distributed systems.

Jonathan Klein, Vice President, Head of Client Security Relationship Management, Broadridge Financial Solutions

Jonathan is a senior information security specialist experienced in building and implementing business-driven security strategies in diverse business environments. He has the ability to build strong relationships with other organizations and form cooperative partnerships to meet business objectives. He has extensive experience in converting business requirements to technical and operational solutions. He is able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on budget and on time. Prior to his current role in Broadridge, Jonathan has also had the roles of Chief Information Security Officer, Vice President of Security Engineering and Monitoring, managing a group responsible for all Security Technology projects globally, and Global Head of Security Compliance, responsible for all of Broadridge’s industry compliance assessments. In his 41 years in the technology and information security, he has held positions as Director, President, Security Consultant and System Architect for companies such as Calence, Wizard Keys, TIAA-CREF, Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch to name a few. He has co-written various CIS Security Benchmarks for Solaris 10, Red Hat Linux 5.6 and Red Hat Linux 6.0 with the Center for Internet Security from 2010 thru 2012. He holds a B.T. in Computer Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Tanith Johnson, European Head of Operations, Instinet.

In this role, Tanith has been instrumental in the seamless implementation, management and evolution of Operations throughout her career; including time spent at both Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse. Latterly material challenges have included the broad spectrum of complex MiFID requirements and Brexit. In addition, she has been a key architect in the delivery of new business solutions such as client clearing services. Having joined Instinet in 2009, Tanith became Head of European Operations in 2010, and was promoted to Managing Director in 2016.

Paul Besson, Head of Quantitative Research, Euronext

Paul heads Euronext’s Quantitative Research department. His main area of research is Market Microstructure and Behavioural Finance on Equities and FX. Prior to this he held the same position for seven years at Kepler Cheuvreux. Paul has twelve years’ previous experience as a fund manager in quantitative arbitrage, both for hedge funds and long-only funds. Paul regularly presents papers at academic conferences and has authored various publications on Market Microstructure in applied journals. He has been a lecturer for a number of institutions, and still gives lectures for Paris Dauphine University. Paul graduated from ENSAE Paris.

Andrew Flatt, Founder and CTO, Archax.

Andrew has over 13 years’ experience in providing technology solutions to brokers and asset managers trading global markets. Prior to Archax, Andrew spent 6 years as CTO for Omni Partners, a $1.4billion hedge fund based in London, where he was responsible for managing all technology within the firm. Before that, Andrew held senior technology and support positions at Infinity Capital Markets, a proprietary trading house.

Andrew has experience in designing, selecting, implementing, operating and supporting a wide variety of trading platforms and exchange connectivity systems across equities, commodities, FX, bonds, derivatives and digital assets globally.

Andrew holds a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems from Staffordshire University and is also a member of the British Computer Society.
