Chris is a Senior Managing Director of State Street Global Advisors, and serves as the firm’s Global Head of Trading. In this role, he has overall responsibility for our 24-hour equity, currency, and fixed income trading operations with teams based in Boston, London and Hong Kong. In prior Trading-related roles, Chris was responsible for equity derivatives trading, transaction cost research and the development and implementation of electronic trading platforms designed to improve the efficiency of the firm’s trading practices globally. Chris is a member of the company’s Executive Management Group.

Prior to joining SSGA in 1996, Chris was a Global Equity Trader and Assistant Portfolio Manager at Batterymarch Financial Management. He began his career in investment management as an emerging markets equity trader at Baring Asset Management in 1992.

Chris earned his MS in Finance from the Wallace E. Carroll School of Management at Boston College. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a second major in Spanish, from the University of New Hampshire. He has also completed a post-graduate certificate program at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Chris serves on the NYSE Institutional Traders Advisors Committee. He is also a member of the ICI Equity Trading Advisory Group and the Boston Securities Traders Association. Previously, Chris was a volunteer finance instructor at the Boston Center for Adult Education.
